Monday, November 23
Game #9 East Carolina (82) vs. South Dakota State (73)
In the first game of the final day of the Men's tournament, East Carolina got their first victory of the tournament with a win over South Dakota State, 82-73. East Carolina overcame a 20-point deficit behind Jontae Sherrod's 23 points and Darius Morrow's 16 points for a seventh-place finish. South Dakota State's top scorers in the loss were sharp shooter Garrett Callahan with 18 points and Clint Sargent with 14 points.

Game #10 Northern Iowa (81) vs. Boston College (69)
The University of Northern Iowa claimed fourth place in the 2009 Paradise Jam Tournament, beating Boston College 81-69. UNI was patient on offense as they shot over 50 percent the entire game. UNI guard Kwadzo Ahelegbe shot 85% from the field with perfect three-point shooting (3-3) for 32 points; Adam Koch added 14 points for the win. Boston College's Corey Raji had 18 points while his teammate Josh Southern had 12 points in the loss.
Game #11 DePaul (58) vs. St. Joseph's
DePaul captured a third-place finish in the tournament with a 58-51 victory over St. Joseph's without key player Mac Koshwal. Each team, coming off a semi-final loss, improved their play in a very physical and competitive consolation game. Will Walker was the only DePaul player in double figures with 25 points. Darrin Govens had 16 points and Garrett Williamson had 10 points for St. Joseph.
Game #12 Tennesse (72) vs. DePaul (73)
No. 6 Purdue and No. 9 Tennessee squared off for the 2009 Paradise Jam Championship game. Purdue triumphed over Tennessee in an up-tempo, nerve-racking game, 73-72. Both teams were undefeated before tonight's contest, but a 22-point performance by MVP E'twuan Moore ensured a Purdue victory. Teammate Robbie Hummel contributed 20 points. Tennessee's Wayne Chism was the top scorer of the game with 24 points and Tyler Smith also had 10 points in the loss.
Sunday, November 22
Game #7 DePaul (53) vs. Tennessee (57)
The Tennessee Volunteers were able to hold off DePaul for a nail-biting win, 57-53. Both teams brought high-intensity defensive presence with different presses and physical man-to-man play. Each team had balanced scoring efforts as Tyler Smith led Tennessee with 14 points and teammate Wayne Chism 13 points. DePaul's Will Walker and Mac Koshwal each contributed 14 points in the loss.
Game #8 St. Joseph's (85) vs. Purdue (60)
After the teams exchanged leads and shared ties throughout the first half, Purdue shot 50% from the three-point line in the second half to finish the game with an 85-60 win. Purdue's sharp shooting was led by Jajuan Johnson with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Ryne Smith added 16 points. Garrett Williamson had 12 points for St. Joseph in the loss. Purdue will face Tennessee in the 2009 Paradise Jam Championship.
Saturday, November 21
Game #5 Northern Iowa (74) vs. East Carolina (68)
East Carolina and the University of Northern Iowa were seeking their first win of the Paradise Jam Tournament. The University of Northern Iowa scored the first basket and never looked back as they led the entire game en route to a 74-68 victory. Adam Koch led UNI to their first tournament win with 25 points shooting 80% from the field. His teammate Jordan Eglseder had a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. East Carolina had a balanced effort with four players in double figures: Brock Young (18 points), Jamar Abrams (15 points), Jontae Sherrod (15 points) and Darius Morrow (12 points).
Game #6 Boston College (75) vs. South Dakota State (58)
Boston College, coming off a tough loss, cruised to beat South Dakota State, 75-58, and ended the night with 18 assists and four players scoring in double figures. Boston College was led by Joe Trapani with 21 points, followed by Biko Paris with 16 points. South Dakota State’s Anthony Cordova was the top scorer for his team with 18 points.
Friday, November 20
Game #1 DePaul (60) vs. Northern Iowa (52)
In the opening game of the 10th Anniversary U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament, DePaul University defeated the University of Northern Iowa, 60-52. DePaul closed out the game holding UNI to one single field goal in the final three minutes. Jeremiah Kelly led all scorers with 18 points and teammate Mac Koshwal finished the game with 12 points and 19 rebounds.
Game #2 East Carolina (66) vs. Tennessee (105)
The University of Tennessee gained their first tournament win over East Carolina University as they beat East Carolina 105-66. Tennessee played with high intensity as their full-court pressure led to 35 East Carolina turnovers. Tennessee gained 50 fast break points. Alley-oops and dunks was not the only bright spot for Tennessee as their guard Scotty Hopson had 25 points to lead all scorers. He was followed by Bobby Maze with 15 points and 3 assists. For East Carolina, Brock Young was the leading scorer with 15 while teammate Jontae Sherrod had 12 points.
Game #3 Saint Joseph's (84) vs. Boston College (80)
It was the battle of the northeast teams in game three where Boston College took on St. Joseph’s University. Each team matched points from start to finish; this fast-paced game had 11 ties and 8 lead changes. With under a minute left in the game St. Joseph’s and Boston College were all tied up at 78, then Garrett Williamson had an And 1, and converted the free throw after the play . With 38.3 seconds left Boston College’s Reggie Jackson came fighting back with a lay-up of his own. Williamson would find himself at familiar place, the free throw line (he went 10-13) as he sank two free throws to put St. Joseph back up by 3 points. Jackson was fouled on a lay-up attempt and made the two free throws. St. Joseph holding on to a one point lead, gave the ball to Williamson whom was fouled but made one of two free throws. With this opportunity, Boston College’s Jackson attempted a lay-up but missed the potential game-tying lay-up. Williamson then closed out the game by converting his two free throws to put St. Joseph up for good 84-80. Garrett Williamson led the St. Joseph assault with 18 points with help from teammates Chris Prescott and Carl Jones, who had 16 points each. Boston College’s Joe Trapani led all scorers with 20 points and teammate Reggie Jackson contributed 18 points.
Game #4 South Dakota State (63) vs. Purdue (74)
In the nightcap, South Dakota State University took on No. 7 Purdue University. South Dakota State came out hot in the first half, shooting 57.1% from the three-point line to keep close to the highly-favored Purdue University (three ties), however Purdue maintained a lead from the start. During the second half, Purdue changed strategies and started to pound the ball in the paint as they had a height advantage with Jajuan Johnson who had numerous dunks and alley hoops. The difference in the game was Purdue’s 36 points in the paint compared to South Dakota State’s 16 points in the paint. The game ended with a bang as Keaton Grant had an explosive dunk that capitalized on Purdue’s 74 points to South Dakota State 63 points. The seventh-ranked Purdue was led by E’Twuan Moore with 22 points and an impressive 5 assists. He was followed by teammates Robbie Hummel and Jajuan Johnson who had 14 and 13 points respectfully. South Dakota State had a joint effort with three players in double figures: Clint Sargent (16), Garrett Callahan (13) and Nate Wolters (11).
